K9 Essentials

K9 Essentials is designed for dogs to resolve problems on the leash. Has your dog been kicked out of group classes for being disruptive? Does he look aggressive towards other dogs on walks? Does he pull and focus on everything except you? This program combines basic obedience, socialization and leash etiquette and is designed with the reactive dog in mind.

If your dog has any of the following behavior problems while on leash the K9 Essentials program could be a good fit for you:

  • Barking and lunging at other dogs or people
  • Loss of ability to focus
  • Zig-zagging or pulling
  • Over excitability around other dogs or people
  • Trouble passing other dogs on the street or trail

K9 101

K9 101 group class is a good fit for teams new to dog training, as well as teams looking to practice skills they’ve already acquired. We believes that in addition to having a well behaved dog, an attentive dog is essential and K9 101 is the perfect place to work with your dog on what they’ve learned and in the presence of other dogs!

K9 101 is a 4 week class and covers the following topics: sit, down, attention getting, settle on a mat, wait/stay, leave it, sit for permission, loose leash walking, recall, polite greetings and more! This class is tailored to fit each training team’s needs based on their own level of experience.
