Lisa Wilhoit McCormick, co-owner of Fido and Company, brings with her years of marketing and customer service experience. Earning her B.S. in Journalism with a double minor in Psychology and Marketing from West Virginia University (Let’s Go Mountaineers!), Lisa began her professional career working for advertising/PR agencies throughout in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. She then started a career in Information Systems and Public Relations for the Department of State, researching and writing speeches for top-level officials.
While working in the “suit and tie” world, Lisa always kept fitness at the center of her life. She soon combined both of these loves to become one of the top fitness instructors in the Northern Virginia region. She formed her own professional fitness company providing personal training and group exercise classes for major corporations all across the region. After moving to San Diego and continuing her fitness career in the sunshine, Lisa was nominated for 2006 24 Hour Fitness Group X Instructor of the Year (San Diego Region). Here in San Diego, Lisa worked for a start-up computer engineering firm, writing, organizing and marketing, started her own graphics business, and later coordinated charitable events for the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation raising over $250,000 for the area’s abused children.
The love of Lisa’s life (besides her husband, Corky, of course) is her silver pug, Butkus Santiago Wilhoit McCormick, who served as the ring bearer in their wedding on Sunset Cliffs. When Butkus came into their lives Lisa realized the standards for pet services had to change if her “son” was going to partake in any of them. Butkus has been the catalyst for Lisa’s renowned doggie birthday party extravaganzas and for Fido & Co. to raise the bar when it comes to luxury for your pet. Her extensive marketing background coupled with her amazing eye for perfection and detail, Lisa promises to make Fido & Co. the most fabulous experience for you and your best friend!

Lorraine “Rainy” Aron, RVT, LATg, VTS has been in the veterinary field for over 30 years. She has been involved in every aspect of veterinary medicine, and Fido & Co is proud and honored to have her as part of our team! Most recently, Rainy moved here from Athens, Georgia after serving as the ICU Nursing Supervisor at the Veterinary teaching hospital for the University of Georgia. Here, Rainy not only lended an expert hand in the ICU, she rehabilitated all post surgical patients in conjunction with her husband (a world-renowned veterinary surgical professor). She moved to San Diego in 2006 and became the Veterinary Technician Rehabilitation Supervisor for Veterinary Surgical Specialists. Rainy is a licensed veterinary technician in two states, Georgia and California. She attended the University Of Georgia and has a degree in Horticulture and Science of Animal Health Technology. She belongs to numerous societies and committees, and has received countless honors and awards for her contribution to the veterinary field. Now that Rainy is part of the expert team at Fido & Co, she brings with her a lifetime of hands-on techniques and an understanding of animal behavior like no one else. Rainy’s methods are simple: she believes in open and constant communication with the owner and listens to the animal. Once these two key elements are in sync, it’s a matter of coaching both owner and pet through the rehabilitation process. Rainy also believes that you cannot reach a common goal if the dog is not completely sound from the inside out. There are many components that go into healing and Rainy will work with Owner and Pet in every aspect to achieve overall wellness. |
